The baptistery of Pisa is another of the buildings that form the monumental complex of Piazza del Duomo (or Piazza dei Miracoli). Its construction, begun in 1153, is the work of the architect Diotisalvi, as evidenced by an inscription on an internal pillar, but many Sculptures of the façade were made by Nicola Pisano and his son Giovanni. L'ECO DEL BATTISTERO DIVENTA UN CORO Sotto la cupola, nella struttura, avviene un fenomeno acustico particolare che grazie ai materiali con qui è costruita l’architettura, materiali poco o niente assorbenti, il suono si propaga per oltre 12 secondi generando armonizzazioni dove le onde vecchie si fondono a quelle nuove e basta il canto di una persona per far credere che ci sia un coro intero.
