Castle Rising Castle is a very popular destination as it is one of the best preserved, largest most decorated keeps in England. It is surrounded by 20 acres of mighty earthworks and is available to visit Monday to Sunday 10am-6pm.

A firm favourite since I was a child. I have always loved running up and down steps and this old castle has never disappointed me. It is a ruin but still immensely interesting. And located in a pretty village with outstanding tearooms and pub nearby!
