The Hatchets is 1 mile down the road and serves food for lunch and dinner. It serves a variety of food from burgers to lamb shank. It is located in the countryside and has a great beer garden with a sand pit. The owner has two small dogs that love to roam around in the beer garden. Inside the pub is very cosy with a large fire in winter. The have quiz night on Tuesday and open mike nights every first Friday of the month

The Hatchet at Lower Chute - three miles away, remote, authentic thatched country pub which is totally dog friendly and popular with our visitors. Equally good to be in front of the log fire in winter or outside catching the last of the sun on the terrace if its good weather.
