great old German restaurant with Old German cuisine Pea soup, goose leg and sausage in a rustic decor with old sewing machines and advertising signs. very well visited and it must be reserved!

Traditional German food! Big plates! Have only a light breakfast or lunch when you plan to go there :)

If you are looking for authentic Berlin food (no, not Dönner or Currywurst! The type of things my grandmother used to make) then this is the place to go. Everything on the menu is delicious.... don't be put off by the strange descriptions on the English menu (an example of why you should not use google translator). My personal favorite is the wild boar (Wildschwein) You need to make reservations well in advance. If you can't find a place there, try Julchen Hoppe just down the street. (Almost identical menu, same owner)
