Skyway XC ski area is located just as you arrive at the top of the Grand Mesa. Maintained by the Nordic Council, these trails are open for public use free of charge (donations appreciated). This is some of the best nordic skiing in Colorado! Groomed daily during the winter by a dedicated and passionate team of volunteers, this area will lead you from open meadows to tree lined paths. Many loops provide solitude in your ski while still allowing you to say yellow to a few friendly skiers. Trails are categorized for mixed abilities, trail map will identify the level of difficulty. Some trails offer view points of the surrounding regions.
