I think the location is decent, and while the layout of the unit is unique, I truly appreciated how the space was used. A few suggestions that might improve future stays: increasing towel availability—there was only one bath towel and no kitchen towel or extras—and making a few minor aesthetic updates to give the space a more modern feel.

The dishwasher hadn’t been run before our stay, and we didn’t think to check it, so we ended up purchasing some items we assumed weren’t provided. I did communicate about a trash can issue and a dead battery in the garage door opener. The host responded quickly and resolved both, which I appreciated.

That said, I would have preferred garage access upon arrival for safety reasons. It worked out fine in the end, but advance access would have made me feel more comfortable. I also would have appreciated a little more openness about the surrounding community’s challenges—even if they’re beyond the host’s control.
