I am a local business owner. I own Studio A Dance in nearby Silver Lake and I teach jazz dance. I have been in the neighborhood for more than 30 years. I live with my spouse Kevin (a high school English teacher and moonlight actor) and dogs Bub and Elf. Although I do not currently live on the property, I take pride in my my vacation rentals, and keep the grounds and rental apartment very clean and tidy.

Although we never got to meet face-to-face, Bill and I texted back and forth. He responded very promptly re the wifi password (I misread it) and we had a few more pleasant exchanges.
I spent the bulk of my time with the family so I just slept in a comfortable bed and enjoyed a clean and efficient bathroom.
The neighborhood is quiet and private, I always found parking and the street is level. Big deal for me! I certainly recommend Hemingway's Retreat.

We stayed at Bill's for four nights and it was the perfect hideaway! He really does cover all bases, from restaurant recommendations to guest toiletries and a fully equipped kitchen. We didn't have a car so we Ubered everywhere, and most of what we wanted to get to was less than twenty minutes away. Bill himself was easily reachable and very accommodating. We definitely felt at home.
