Sweet Soul Food is so good, it has to move across the street to triple the floor space. Right now, she's a lean, friendly buffet serving 100% vegan inspired, New Orleans soul food dishes. The last time I brought mamma to the restaurant, we met someone who flew from Washington DC to eat here. Yes, it's that good. The buffet is also super reasonably priced. $9.99 for any three items. The tables flip quick because the flavors are spot on. It also made the top 100 restaurants for vegetarian/vegan options, by the Advocate local newspaper.

This new addition to the Plant Based restaurant family is one to not miss. It's kindly tucked in a small building. The meals are made fresh to serve only on that day. It is all super tasty! Vegan ice cream is available, in which they make themselves!!! And it is sooo DELICIOUS!
