A beautiful series of cascading falls which is a must-see whilst you are staying with us. The Force is famous as one of the best spots in England to watch migrating Atlantic Salmon travel the arduous journey up to their Ribblehead spawning grounds. In autumn the best chance to see the salmon is early to mid October, especially after a period of rain, when the water levels are a little higher to aid the exhausted salmon.

If you time it right you will see salmon jump here. You can walk from Northfields and have a meal at the Knights Table which is just nearby. Then walk your meal off as you enjoy the scenic walk back along the riverbank or via he historic local Hoffman Kilns

Great stretch of the River Ribble. Plenty of spots to take a dip on the nice sunny day. Can get busy at weekends especially if the weather is nice.
