Highland Square, 2 miles east on 32nd where it intersects Lowell, has lots of fun eateries and boutique shops. I've listed some favorite wine and food shops, but it could also make for a fun morning or afternoon of window shopping.

Summer and Fall Sunday mornings 32nd is closed to traffic for the farmers market. There's live music and food trucks at Newton St, with vendors filling the street through to Lowell Blvd. Shops and restaurants are also open, so we often pop into them in addition to the market.
