If you're interested in fish markets and fruit/vegetable stalls then head over to the Mina (port). It is a very busy place, albeit it is far less touristy nowadays.

Delicious fresh fish. Great to buy something and have it cooked by the professionals on site with their spicy basting sauce. A really traditional Abu Dhabi experience...

You can buy a fresh fish, have it cleaned, and grilled for you at one of the stalls adjacent to the fish market. An authentic local experience.
