Familiar with the story of the Soldier of Orange? The story is based on the true story of the resistance movement during World War II in Leiden. The famous balcony where the resistance hero sir Erik Hazelhoff Roelzema lived can still be seen above the bar Barrera at the Rapenburg, the most beautiful city canal in Leiden. Here you can have a nice drink, or enjoy some lunch.

Because it is nearby on a toplocation (Rapenburg). Yoy can drink there and sit on a terrace with view on the canal and academic building where students graduate

Great place on a nice corner at the canal. The area is in old Leiden, a beautiful walk from the Garage via the Pieterskerkplein to this bar/cafe. 5 min walk.
