Once characterised by a smokey atmosphere, orders yelled across the room in dialect, rickety plastic chairs and tables that tottered where they stood, there's a new wave of hipster zi char stalls coming up and they boast air-conditioned comfort while serving up wok-fried food that's every bit as good as in the "authentic" coffeeshops. Char specialises in cantonese cuisine, particularly the specialty of roast meat. Everything on that menu is great. Just go for it.

This place serves the best Char Siew in Singapore. They also serve great cantonese wok fried food which you can enjoy with craft beers. Char’s approach to their cuisine is modern. They use better ingredients and employ modern techniques (like Sous Vide) to try make a classic dish better

Great place for roasted meats like Char Siew, Roasted Pork and Roasted Duck. They also serve beers on tap.

Classic Hong Kong BBQ Pork and cusine, just shifted to 363 Jalan Besar, Singapore 208994, about 20 mins drive away, still worth a try :)
