Stepping into the Lamplighter is like entering a scene from Twin Peaks--this dive bar is tiny, only takes cash, and always boasts a game of chess. BYO Liquor. ZZ Top used to hang here.

Decades-old dive bar that's seen many changes over the years. Highly recommended for the local dive experience. Beer-only, but you may BYO bottles of wine and the hard stuff.

Another great dive bar, and the oldest in Memphis. It's small, beer + setups, cash only, and sometimes crowded esp if there's a band. Still a good place to get your drink on.
