Looking for the real home made Moroccan cuisine ? This is the place ! Despite the touristy style entrance , this tiny cosy restaurant is the temple of the local food ! You can’t miss the famous tajine “Boulettes de sardines “ If you like the fish , but also the meat tajines are just incredibly tasty . They serve wine by the way and prices are reasonable . The owner is so nice his smile will make you fill at home immediately.

There are many good restaurants in Essaouira, especially in the Medina, although the choice is rather limited for vegetarians in the main restaurants. There's a square in the centre with several vegetarian restaurants offering really interesting menus, with some excellent and original dishes. Makes a refreshing change from tagine and cous cous, pasta and pizzas.
