Heritage railway with steam engines. Take a ride on the tracks along the river and out to Fairy Lake and return. Heritage place is a pioneer village showing life as it was when logging was the focus of the area. A blacksmiths shop and bakery are some of the active venues that can be seen here. Open 10 am to 4 pm. Near the High School and Summit Centre, close to downtown.

Muskoka Heritage Place offers a family friendly atmosphere for learning about Muskoka's history. With a wide variety of pioneer artifacts and reconstructions it is a great way for people to connect with the past.

The centre is a tribute to our ancestors, the village features 1860-1910 pioneer homes, sawmill, authentic train, church, roadside inn, school house and blacksmith shop.
