You can go for a hike at Riet Vlei, and watch the pelicans, flamingos and other bird life from one of two bird hides. At SANCCOB you can do a tour and visit the rescued sea birds. All at the bottom of our road and in walking distance!

Rehabilitation centre for penguins about 5km away from the flat in Flamingo Vlei. Phone SANCCOB to make a booking and for tour. Also bird watching at Rietvlei another 2kms further along. Turn in to yacht club and pay at gate. Worthwhile bird hide - Flamingoes, Pelicans and various other species.
