Some people come for the food, some for the romance (it has been called the "most romantic spot on Long Island) and some for the ghosts. It was built in 1710 and has been used for a number of purposes. During the American Revolution, British troops took the place over. Annette Williamson was the daughter of the owners at the time. Because the locals did not see her fight the soldiers, they decided she must be a spy and after the British left the area, she was brutally murdered. Her ghost has hauned the place ever since.
