The festival is one of the longest running festivals of its kind in the United States, and celebrates all things to do with sheep. Always held the first weekend in May, it is one of our families' favorite events, and we rarely miss it. While having nothing to do with sheep, in the main events hall we buy our year's supply of maple syrup from Justamere Tree Farm. J.P. and Marian Welch produce their pure artisinal syrup on their farm in the Berkshires.
