This is a cool place to see, they call in Magic Sands because sometimes the sand just disappears and then reappears again. Please beware that this is a shore break and can be dangerous. Make sure to talk to the lifeguard so you understand if you choose to enter the water.

Two miles south of Sea Village. Free parking in lot across from beach. Fills up fast, get there early. Great for swimming and boogie boarding.

Magic Sands Beach is a great beach for body surfing or boogie boarding! A nice shore break creates the perfect waves for fun. Beautiful beach to spend the day with the whole family.

This beach has many faces from body surfing to snorkeling depending on the swell.

During high winter surf the beach can vanish literally overnight, earning the nickname ‘Magic Sands.’ The park is about 4 miles south of central Kailua-Kona.
