Le Cascine park has various paths for runners or walkers- where the locals go for a run.

if you had already seen everything in Florence and like to walk, this is a great park for walking or biking along the Arno river.

Escape the heat and take a walk in the shade down the tree lined and riverside boulevards at le cascine. Don't venture too far though as it's quite a large park! Please note that as with any park around the world, venturing after dark is ill advised.
