A great options with several trailheads to shorter hikes. Starting elevation is lower so it’s great for visiting low landers to adjust. 😅

NCAR (The National Center for Atmospheric Research) is a wonderful place to visit. It's an iconic building in Boulder that you can see in the hills, but there are also many great hiking trails here. First do a quick visit to the NCAR building itself. They have self guided displays of the weather research done on site. This is also a wonderful place to do a hike. You can climb a peak here (Bear Peak/South Boulder Peak), Explore a small cave (Malary Cave), or even hike all the way to Chautauqua Park along the beautiful Mesa trail and walk down to the dining hall for a quick bite to eat. Great views of Boulder.
