Award-winning sommelier Brent Braun of Castagna busted out his collection of the good stuff when OK Omens opened in summer of 2018, but he did so with an eye towards affordability. The bright, breezy wine bar and “neo-bistro” offers an astonishing collection of wine-geek bottles at absurdly affordable prices, and has since moved out to its patio, where summertime sees open air dining and winter time features individual tents, all under lovely string lights. Riesling lovers will find OK Omens a hard place to beat (there’s a full section entitled, “Good Lord, I think we need some help drinking all this riesling”), and the bar’s separate lists of wines “on the wild side” and “of a more classic profile” ensure that wine drinkers of all varieties will find something they’ll love.

Value-priced gems from the chef of the adjoining Castagna, one of Portland's premier restaurant. Intimacy in a big, open space. A five minute walk.

The best natural wine bar in town. Brent runs the wine show there and knows literally everything about curating an awesome experience without making it feel elitist.
