Yaak Falls, and the campground just below the falls, is a favorite spot for our family. We recommend stopping and viewing the Yaak Falls on your trip through the Yaak (maybe on your way to visit the Yaak Tavern?). If you're hot, we recommend pulling into the Yaak Falls Campground to swim at one of the locals' favorite swim holes.

Located between Troy and Yaak, Montana, these scenic falls cascade in a beautiful narrow mountain valley, a photographer's delight. The sparsely populated Yaak area is rich in history and offers many recreational opportunities away from the crowds. A scenic turnout allows easy viewing of the falls. You can do the "Yaak Attack" loop, heading north on Pipe Creek Rd to "the Yaak", stop in for a drink or some grub at the Mercantile. Then continue down Yaak Rive Rd back to Hwy 2 (between Troy and Bonners Ferry), making sure to stop at the Falls on your way.
