See the penguins walk about your feet at dusk. (Don't pay to go on the tourist trap boats, just walk out to the end of the pier.) Trams & train from the city.

Cute cafe with a different perspective and good meals. Go past the kiosk and see the penguins amongst the rocks after dark.

Don't take a day trip to Phillip to see the penguins. There is a small penguin colony in St Kilda that's free and a short tram ride away. Take the 112 tram from Victoria parade all the way there.
