The Grand Pavilion, an unusual arts and entertainments venue located on the edge of a Derbyshire World Heritage Site in the beautiful village of Matlock Bath. Rescued and operated by a charity made up of local people, who’s vision is to put The Grand Pavilion back at the heart of the local community, and to enhance the areas’s tourist appeal by re-establishing it as a fully refurbished multi-functional performance and arts space in the Derbyshire Dales. Work is always ongoing to fundraise, and improve the building and its facilities, and today, despite its slightly shabby appearance welcomes a range of community activities and public events, proving itself time and time again to be an interesting and unusual venue and historical asset to our area. The Grand Pavilion is the largest performance arts space in the Derbyshire Dales and a viable space to bring a good variety of performances and events into the rural communities around us.
