If you don't want green mermaids on your coffee cup, there are lots of choices in Kirkland. Caffe Ladro is downtown, close to the waterfront and shopping. There are chairs on the sidewalk outside, as well as a street-facing bar inside, so you can hang out and watch the world go by.
