Set on 100 acres (40 ha) in the midst of World Heritage rainforest, the park (formerly Mountain Groves) opened in 1976. The site had previously been used as a coffee and orange plantation. Rainforestation has since expanded significantly to give visitors insight into indigenous culture, Australian native wildlife and World Heritage-listed rainforest.

Rainforestation Nature Park provides an opportunity to immerse yourself in our Indigenous Culture with boomerang throwing and cultural dance, get up close to native animals and experience an amphibious army duck tour. You may opt to do one or all of the activities. A buffet lunch is also available.

They have the Army Duck that takes you into the lagoon that has crocodiles - one of the best tours we have taken. There is lots of activities including feeding the wallabies. If you get it as part of the four park pass - it can be a great way to see everything but within a budget. Please visit website for tours available

A great place to experience local indigenous culture. You can tour the rainforest in army duck vehicles...lots of fun. Make a day of it by visiting other places in Kuranda or on the Tablelands.
