SANDWICHES & GROCERIES | The Wayside is the quintessential country store, and has a wide selection of groceries and Vermont wares—Wines, nice cheeses, some local baked goods and produce. There is also a deli counter in the back where they make great, sandwiches. We love to pick up a picnic lunch here and take it on the road to the covered bridge at the Arlington Green.

An absolute must see. This is one of the oldest general stores and it feels like you're stepping back in time when you enter. They sell everything from sandwiches to syrup, from work gloves and Carharts to local sodas and treats. Prepare to spend a little while.

This is one of the best country stores you’ll find anywhere. Groceries, deli, pastries, coffee, fishing and hunting licenses, and a whole lot more. Sit at the round table, enjoy your meal, and meet some of our local neighbors and other fellow travelers. Open Tue-Sat 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM Sun 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
