Dating back to 1907, this seat of parliament was stormed in 1990 in an attempted coup d'état. It has since been restored. The Red House is featured in the Savant TV 2014 locally produced short documentary series "Within these Walls". A plaster artifact from the Red House obtained from National Trust of Trinidad and Tobago is exhibited in the reading nook of Green Space – 40 minute (16 km) drive from Green Space.
