It is surrounded by the ever lovely (and hip) Edinburgh Gardens and is a tad old fashioned Fitzroy. Not a lot of it left I suspect. Very relaxed and friendly way to pass a summer afternoon.

Ever tried barefoot bowls? You'll find many locals enjoying themselves when the sun is out, shoes off and many a beer flowing from the bar. This tradition is popular across Melbourne and equally important with Fitzroy locals. Monday - Saturday 10:00am until late Sunday 12:00pm - 6:00pm Catching the number 11 tram from Brunswick (and Gertrude street) away from the city - get off at stop 20 and you'll be right in front of Fitzroy bowls.
