This cafe is in a beautiful setting on the river. The food is really good and healthy. They also have an Kawartha ice cream window. The coffee is OK but the other drinks are better.

This is a beautiful spot for lunch with a paved path along the waterfront for a scenic walk or bike ride. I believe there is a place you can rent a paddleboat or Canoe really close to this (you can see the boats from the Cafe - it's right there). You can ask at the Cafe.

Open three seasons (closed in the winter), the Silver Bean Cafe is situated right on the waters of the Otonabee River, and serves yummy coffees, teas, and treats as well as delicious healthy lunch options... There is a lovely little play area with toys for kids, and if the weather is nice, you can rent a kayak and go out for a paddle : )
