Porthluney Beach car park at Caerhays is a beautiful sand beach. There is a beach cafe here

25 minutes drive westwards on the south coast just below Caerhays Castle and Gardens. A beautiful beach with a cafe and easy parking.

My favourite way to arrive at the beach is to; at the top of the hill before you drop down into Caerhays, there is a layby, you can park here, pop through the gate and follow the footpath to the left across the fields taking in the beautiful views arriving on the road just up form the beach. Although there is a generous carpark that does have a fee at the beach so no parking worries. Caerhays has a café on the beach and its worth looking them up on social media if you like local live music as the have ad hoc evening events which are lovely to chill out and relax while you watch the sun go down. Across the road from the beach is the Castle - a truly beautiful spot with stunning gardens.

Check out in the summer. lots of great drive through movies which you would need to book. Perhaps contact us and we can let you know if any up and coming. Live music often on a weekend whilst sat eating a wood fired pizza snuggled in a blanket. Fabulous setting on the beach. A short drive but really worth it.
