Just behind Oxford Street, Grays opened in 1977 and has over 200 dealers on-site. There’s a diverse mix of longtime dealers, all with incredible knowledge. Many specialise in superb antique, Victorian, and Edwardian jewellery and silver. For more affordable vintage costume jewellery and fashion, head to its separate Mews area. John Joseph is a fine jewellery dealer at Grays who has an exquisite selection of engagement rings. Camy’s sister bought her ring from him 20 years ago, and our daughter Lucy did the same last year, choosing a wonderful Victorian diamond—very elegant, and not outrageously expensive.
