Where the massive underground cavern system opens up and the Lost River rises and falls. A great place to hike and explore. Part of Hoosier National Forest. Just park in the gravel lot and follow the trail.

One of our favorite spots out in the woods. This sinkhole/ piece of heaven is one of the locations the Lost River flows above ground. The mood changes drastically based on the recent weather. - On dry days, a turquoise calm pool lies quietly with a back drop of cliff and cave. - On rainy days, it becomes a boiling cauldron of muddy water with swirls disappearing straight down as the water drops back under ground.

My Mom calls this place the "Grand Canyon of Orange County" lol. It is a giant sink hole within an even more giant sink hole. Short hike from the parking area, and a nice drive through Amish country.
