Rent a kayak or canoe for a few hours or a day. Make your way down to Osceola, Marine on St. Croix or Stillwater. In Marine, stop into the General Store for a snack, or Brookside Bar for food and live music depending on the day and time.

The park (both MN and WI sides) are beautiful with some unique geological formations. Check out the Wisconsin-side website for trails and hikes, but also activities that are fun for families (everyone, though, really)—like wildflower and bird checklists. Look at the Minnesota-side website for canoe/kayak rental information, boat tours, etc. that start in Taylors Falls.
