Hayles Fruit Farm is a third generation family owned business located on the outskirts of the Cotswold market town of Winchcombe. A great selection of fruit picking is available from early to late summer. The farm shop is amazing all year round.

Hayles Fruit Farm covers approximately 100 acres of picturesque countryside on the outskirts of the Cotswold market town of Winchcombe, Gloucestershire. With origins back to 1880 the land, along with 4 other fruit farms on the edge of the town, was initially planted with apples & Cob nuts under the instruction of Lord Sudeley. More than 130 years later Hayles Fruit Farm is the only one to survive! Farmed by the Harrell family since the 1950’s it has, as you might imagine, seen many changes - not least in the form of diversification. That said the task of growing, producing and marketing top quality fruit remains paramount. Over the years the range of crops grown has been expanded and now includes apples, pears, plums, strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries and of course the original Cob Nuts. Whilst the farmshop produces an important outlet for the sale of this produce we also have excellent working relationships with a number of local retail outlets - including Warners Budgens and the Midcounties Co-op - both of whom have for a number of years marketed their goods under their local produce lines. There on the farm diversification continues to play a major role. The farmshop offers visitors some great tasting local produce, a delicious lunch can be enjoyed in the ‘Orchard’ (our Restaurant and Tearoom) and other on-site activities to checkout including a nature trail, Pick Your Own Fruit (in season), clay pigeon shooting and coarse fishing. Whether you’re just passing through or want to use the campsite as a base from which to explore the fantastic countryside & many local attractions you’re very welcome.
