Mentioned in The Times Top 40 Pubs. Delicious food; great garden. Booking recommended: 01794 884004 Whiteparish SP5 2SG: 10-minute drive over Dean Hill from West Dean. Also walkable (60 - 90 minutes?) across lanes and footpaths from the cottage. Great views from the top of Dean Hill

Brilliant food, excellent service and only 5 minutes by car.

This is a bistro-style pub. The restaurant is excellent (booking ahead recommended). The bar food is also excellent, and dogs are permitted in the bar.
