Closest trail to the chalet. One-mile walk to trail-head or drive to trail-head parking lot via Station Road. Three mile hike up the back of Okemo Mountain to the summit and fire tower. Six miles round trip. Great workout! Wear sturdy shoes, take plenty of water, a couple snacks and maybe an extra shirt. Bug spray in summer if you planning on stopping stream-side or enjoying views at top.

More of a challenge, Okemo Mountain via the Healdville Trail is worth the trek (6 miles out and back). Okemo fire tower is at the top.

Healdville Trail/Okemo Mountain Hike- While others in the party may be enjoying the more casual Buttermilk Falls walk and swim, those looking for a challenge might want to embrace the challenge of hiking Okemo Mountain. Though difficult, there is not much that would trigger those with a fear of heights, and there is always the alternative of taking the chairlift either to or from the powerful view at the summit. Afterwards, the classy Jackson’s Gore restaurant is a fantastic reward for your efforts! Address: The trailhead and parking lot is at end of Station Road Mount Holly Vt

Moderately difficult hiking travel with fire look out at the top that offers awesome views. Recommended use is March through November. Dogs are allowed, but are asked to be kept on leash.
