Japan's first comprehensive manga museum that gathers precious materials on domestic and international cartoons. It holds about 300,000 items (2009) including valuable historical materials such as magazines of the Meiji period and valuable historical materials such as postwar postcards, popular contemporary works, and world class masterpieces.
