Even if you're not the kayaking type, Rainbow spring state park is worth the drive. They have a designated swimming area in the park and a small nature trail. (they also rent kayaks if you change your mind... and you should) See also Rainbow river kayak adventures

This is an absolute beautiful spring. They have a few small hikes and a swimming area.

Float down the river, paddle in clear kayaks and dine at Swampy's, which is a waterfront bar and grill (opens at 2pm). 20 min away from Modern Pearl.

This is the park that begins the beautiful Rainbow River. It has a gift shop, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, walking trails, fishing, and waterfalls. There is a $5 per person charge for entry.
