All along the river Elbe is a path that you can walk. Ideally you'll take one of the little ferries from St. Pauli Landungsbrücken to Ovelgoenne and from there walk down the beach. There's also a paved way just a few meters up from the beach which leads you further down. In summer this is the place to have a beer at the Strandperle bar and sit in the sand while watching large ships float by.

weil es wunderbar ist, dort spazieren zu gehen. Schiffe kommen und verlassen Hamburg. Der Eindruck der großen weiten Welt entsteht.
