Chantal Guillon has the best macarons I've ever tasted in my life. Each macaron is perfect, and they offer an endless variety of flavors. I'm a huge fan of their passion fruit, lavender and blackcurrant, and Italian pistachio (which they handpick and source from Italy). Each season offers new limited and fun flavors you can't get anywhere else. In addition to their macarons, the cute and elegant store also offers French fare and pastries. Their croissant al jambon is fantastic—buttery and oozing with melted cheese.

Perfect spot for a light pastry or snack. Macarons are amazing and the space is pretty.

I've work with french macarons for 3 years and I can tell you I understand a bit about this subject. Chantal is my second favorite macaron in San Francisco. The best one would be L'Artisan Macaron.
