Easy place to stock up on ice, milk, eggs, cheese and snacks.

This place is a time machine. Basic provisions, beer and wine. Post office. Gas pump. Good people.

There aren't too many of these left, but Vermont is lucky enough to have some scattered about the state. And we are lucky enough to have one close by. If you want to visit an authentic country store, it's worth the drive to Ripton. They still used the old brass cash register, sit by the pot bellied stove and yep, folks still come to get their mail out of the tiny brass mail boxes in the corner. You can buy a neighbor's jar of pickles or a local artist's note cards.
