This is a great place for kayaking, it has an easy boat launch and it is close to town. This area is about a mile from our Air b n b and we have 2 adult kayaks and one children’s kayak with paddles and life jackets for you to borrow free of charge. Also there is a local business Adventures Through Kayaking that does lessons and kayak rentals if you would like kayak lessons. This is a great place to just swing by and check out the view, very easy access for anyone with mobility limits that just wants a scenic serene view. This is also a great place for kids to explore the shoreline, especially at low tide. If you are new to this area it is important to note that the water can is very cold in the Pacific Northwest, even in the height of the summer and that you should always wear life jackets and stay close to the shoreline if you are a novice kayaker. Freshwater Bay is a local favorite.

This is a great place to do sea kayaking. Freshwater Bay is a fantastic location for birding, beachcombing and discovering intertidal life, such as sea stars

Great place to see River Otters. and at low tide you can walk to the rock stack. This is where we kayak. Ask us about where we paddle to.
