If you love fish and chips give Scoffs a go, it’s in Paignton town and is definitely worth a visit.

If you like fluorescent orange chips (dipped in batter )served up by a rough and ready family who often shout at customers who happen to be blocking the doorway , then this is the place to go. This establishment sits on the tourist street known locally as the manic mile which has now been pedestrianised. Visiting Scoffs is not for the faint hearted. It’s best to wait quietly in line , keep your self to your self., collect your food and leave . The only time they’ve ever smiled was when this photo was taken ! Best crispy chips in the country by far ! IF YOU DARE…. Alternatively, if this isn’t your idea of a good time , we highly recommend the London Fryer which is near Preston Sands on Seaway Road . Queue’s of locals and tourists all year round . If you’re in the town centre , Mariners fish and chips near Lidl is excellent and is currently our NUMBER ONE .

Proper good fish and chips! Deffo worth a ride over to Paignton! I’d actually say they’re possibly the best chips I’ve ever had… your waistline may not thank you but I think they’re worth the sacrifice… just means a few more lengths in the swimming pool 🤷🏻♀️😆
