This is Ruth’s favorite hike in the area, it’s a difficult one! It has 2,641 ft of elevation gain and requires some scrambling up the rocks. Flatiron via Siphon Draw Trail is a 5.5 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Apache Junction, Arizona that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is best used from September until June. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. There is a fee (I believe it’s still $10) so make sure you have some cash with you.

If you're looking for a difficult all-day hike, take this one to Flat Iron trail. After the basin the trail can be difficult to find, but it's a wonderful hike! Very challenging and fun. The view from the top of the flat iron is spectacular.

The trail that leads to the top of the famous Flat Iron and the Lost Dutchman State Park can be accessed through a private entrance from the property. The hike is on the more difficult side abut if you choose to do it the views are unbelievable!
