The theme at MessHall? Glorified summer camp food, with the intention to improve upon all-American comfort food favorites—turkey kale chili is served with fresh cornbread, smoked corn fritters are garnished with a poblano and pumpkin seed romesco, and the fried chicken sandwich does justice to the city’s dish of the moment. Low-key dimly lit restaurant with the classic staples done well. Burgers, roasted chicken, oysters etc. Happy hour nightly.
