This was the first penitentiary in Canada. I just closed a few years ago. They left everything as is, and now run regular tours. Definitely worth seeing

Former Maximum Security Prison. Opened in 1835, famous for 2 riots in 1954 & 1971. Book your tour: www.kingstonpentour.com to see this historic building. A 5 min drive or 30 min walk along the waterfront.
