The centre of the community. A genuinely friendly pub. A venue for local musicians and actors. The pub houses The Coach House. A music/ theatre venue. Good pub food and a huge beer garden with fire pits and a massive screen tv for sporting evens. Quiz at 5pm Sunday.

Situated in the village of Moniaive, approx. 10 miles from the cottage. Great pub food with a great atmosphere. The Craigdarroch often hosts live music and is home to an annual blues festival. Open 12pm-12am Monday-Thursday and until 1am at weekends. I've never booked before going but just in case, the number is: 01848 200205 High St, Moniaive, DG3 4HN
